Anderson Development Company is seeking a Customer Service Representative for our Adrian, MI facility.

Responsibilities:

  • This position is responsible for receiving, entering, and coordinating shipping transactions while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Acting as primary customer contact and professionally representing ADC.
  • Work closely with the sales department to optimize the order fulfillment process and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Interface regularly with Accounting, Shipping & Receiving, and Quality to ensure accuracy in order fulfillment and invoicing.

Required Qualifications, Experience and Skills

The following is required for this position:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 3 years' recent customer service experience in a high volume, fast-paced complex customer service environment.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to effectively communicate professionally at all times with a diverse customer base via email, phone, etc.
  • Ability to take care of the customers' needs while following company procedures.
  • Good computer skills (Excel, Word, other Microsoft applications).
  • Hands-on experience with an ERP system.
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
  • Self-motivated, team player with the ability to solve problems.
  • Able to prioritize work and manage time effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, and deadline-oriented environment while maintaining accuracy and handling multiple requests simultaneously.
  • Able to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.

Additional Experience Preferred

The following experience is not required but is preferred:

  • Associate's degree in the pertinent field.
  • 3 years' recent customer service experience in a high volume, fast-paced complex customer service environment.
  • Manufacturing or chemical manufacturing customer service experience preferred.
  • Understanding of logistics, including but not limited to DOT, IATA, IMO regulations, air freight, ocean logistics, and trucking logistics.
  • Hands-on experience with JD Edwards.
