Qualifications: HS diploma or GED required along with a State of Michigan Journeyman's Electrician License. Must have a strong knowledge of industrial power, control, and instrumentation. The position will perform corrective and preventive maintenance tasks associated with electrical and instrumentation in an industrial setting, including documentation and effective communication with the Engineering, Operations and Maintenance groups. Applicants must have good troubleshooting skills and the ability to plan and execute daily work activities. Applicants must be available for a flexible work schedule which may require overtime and weekend work along with ON-Call coverage. Applicants must be able to read and comprehend electrical prints, PM service documents, P&ID's, construction drawings, and equipment specification documents. Additionally, applicants must be able to effectively complete electrical fabrication, layout, routing and installation following electrical code specifications. This position requires use of personal protective equipment including full face respirators. Applicants must be capable of safely operating mobile equipment (i.e. Fork trucks, Aerial lifts, etc). Must have basic computer skills in word processing, database, and spreadsheet software applications.
