Maintenance Mechanic

Qualifications: Anderson Development Company is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic with a strong knowledge of industrial and mechanical operations. Position will perform corrective and preventive maintenance tasks including documentation and effective communication with the engineering, operations and maintenance groups. Must have good troubleshooting skills. Must have the ability to plan and execute daily work activities. Must have experience reading and interpreting equipment repair manuals, blueprints, schematics, and other repair instructions to effectively perform maintenance. Examples of mechanical equipment repair experience include, but are not limited to, pumps - diaphragm, centrifugal (sealed and canned), and geared; compressors - screw and piston; solids distribution equipment - augers, air fluidization distribution systems; hydraulics, gear reduction and agitation systems. Must be able to read and apply equipment layout drawings, piping isometrics, construction drawings & equipment specification documents. Experience with piping fabrication and welding in mild steel and stainless steel, using SMAW, MIG and/or TIG procedures and a basic understanding of rigging equipment and practices is preferred. Capable of safely operating mobile equipment (i.e. Fork trucks, JLG, scissor lift, etc). Must be self-motivated and be available for a flexible work schedule which will require overtime and weekend work with ON-Call coverage. Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. daily, lifting up to 100 lbs. periodically, and wear personal protective equipment which include respirators to perform maintenance activities. Must have basic computer skills in e-mail, word processing, and spreadsheet software applications. HS diploma or GED required.
