Assistant Teaching Professor (two positions)
Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Bowling Green State University. Full-time, academic year, non-renewable appointments. Competitive salary with full benefits.
Duties include:
Teach the newly established course Quantitative Reasoning, or other mathematics and statistics courses, depending on qualification and the department's need; provide service to the department, college, and/or university.
Minimum qualifications:
The successful candidate must have fulfilled all the program requirements of a masters' or doctoral degree in mathematics, statistics, or in a closely related field (e.g., mathematics education), before August 19th, 2019; have experience teaching mathematics and statistics courses as the instructor of record at the collegiate level; have experience teaching a Mathematics Pathway course (viz., basic statistics, college algebra, or quantitative reasoning) as a TA or instructor of record.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience teaching a QR course as a TA or instructor of record; experience teaching in a Mathematics Emporium.
