Accounting and Registration Coordinator
The Accounting and Registration Coordinator oversees the daily accounting of the Office of Conference & Event Services (C&ES) and Bowen-Thomson Student Union (BTSU) Operations, while facilitating internal account transactions for various partners across campus for services rendered on behalf of our operations. This person also manages all Registration System functions for C&ES to include on-site management of Event Registration Check-in Services for events occurring days, nights and weekends that are held on campus and within the surrounding community.
Essential Function
- Manages accounting, billing, procurement, FMS reconciliation, and assists with budgeting and forecasting for the Conference & Event Services (C&ES) office, which oversees the collection and distribution of ~$3-$5M in revenue shared across numerous departments on campus. Further manages daily accounting for Student Union Operations, a $5M annual budget.
- Oversees various software platforms to deliver an effective online Event Registration System upon completion of the event review process. This oversight includes building individual web registration portals for each event, managing the collection of all payments, and troubleshooting at the Individual Registrant level for each simultaneous event at various phases in the event process through reconciliation.
- Manages logistics and coordinates all aspects of Registration Services for conferences, seminars, workshops and banquets held across the BGSU Campus and in the community, this includes serving in a lead capacity at planning meetings with existing and potential clients, so they can build successful Event Registrations with strong communication throughout. This individual also serves as the on-site coordinator of Registration Check-in Services at these events, which includes early morning, evening and weekend hours.
- Runs monthly, quarterly, and annual reports reconciling various accounts on an ongoing weekly basis. Also assists with the sales efforts of the C&ES office by preparing future contracts after initial events have occurred that are planning to return in a similar manner.
- Works in collaboration with the C&ES Management Team to develop and implement strategies to generate sales for Registration Services and the overall operation, primarily to non-university clients. Directly sells Event Registration and additional services in the event review process.
Minimum Qualifications
The following Degree is required:
- Bachelor’s Degree required. Degree must be conferred at the time of application
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, hospitality management, marketing, or closely related field is preferred.
The following Experience is required:
- 1 year of working with financial systems required
- 1 year of customer service experience required

Position Schedule: Full time position with an option for a flexible/hybrid work schedule (remote/on campus). Work location: Bowling Green, Ohio.
