Public Relations Coordinator
Position Summary: Working in the Parking Services Office, this position will have considerable contact with students, faculty and staff, as well as visitors to Bowling Green State University. Provides positive Public Relations and Customer Service. Provides guidance to student enforcement workers. Reports to the Manager of Parking Services.
Essential Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities
- Provides customer service, including interacting with customers in the Parking Services Office, on the phone, and operating the cash register to serve our customers. Receive and disburse cash, credit cards or other payment forms.
- Provides guidance to student enforcement officers and may serve as the coordinator on duty. Relays two-way radio communications with enforcement officers. Coordinates tows and boots with Parking Enforcement and University Police.
- Researches and analyzes customers’ questions and resolves customer concerns and problems. May need to deescalate and calm upset customers.
- Manages and coordinates online permit order processing. Assist in the completion of cycle counts. Invoices departments for bulk permit orders.
- Manages the inventory, merchandising, and sales of all Parking permit and citation products. Orders and maintains supply of Parking Services equipment parts and office supplies. Ensures stock is maintained.
- Participates in the appeal review process with the Parking Services review team on citation appeal decisions.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Experience
- Three to six months related experience
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required
Salary
Two, full-time, Classified staff positions available. Classified Pay Grade 25/$15.63. Full benefit package available.
