Senior Director
Position Summary
The Senior Director oversees the day-to-day operation of the Center for Regional Development. Expanding the reach of CRD through grants and service contracts within the NW Ohio region, state of Ohio and across the country. Represents BGSU at regional economic development related meetings. Responsible for leading and monitoring progress of CRD staff on CRD projects.
Essential Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities
- Finds opportunities to deploy CRD talent and expertise to assist communities, business and nonprofit organizations
- Manages the CRD office, including project completion, proposal generation, and data analytics
- Management of graduate student research assistants
- Working with faculty members and departments on external funding
- Coordinate and conduct research and analysis for CRD projects and publications
- Develop and manage external contracts and partnerships
Knowledge, Skills or Abilities
- Developing partnerships with outside the university organizations and companies
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree in Political Science, Geography, Economics or Business required, Ph.D. preferred. Successful candidate must have Master’s degree conferred at the time of application.
The following experience is required:
- 5 years of experience in community or economic development
- 5 years of experience in public policy
- 5 years of experience working in Higher Education
- 5 years of experience applying for and managing grants
Salary
Full-time, Administrative staff position available. Administrative Grade Level 360. Salary is commensurate with education and experience. Full benefit package available.
