Position Description: The Department of Public and Allied Health at Bowling Green State University (BGSU), Bowling Green, Ohio is seeking applicants for one (1) 9-month tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level. The department is seeking an individual to join our undergraduate and graduate programs during an exciting time of growth and new opportunities.
Primary responsibilities: The selected candidate will play a major and collaborative role in the growth and development of programs in public health, allied health, and applied health. In addition to teaching at the undergraduate level, responsibilities may also include teaching courses in graduate health services administration. Other responsibilities include establishing a record of high quality research and publication, participating on academic committees, advising students, supervising graduate students, and providing professional service through community engagement and professional societies.
Qualifications: Candidates from all areas of public health, environmental health, allied health, healthcare administration, or related public health and allied health fields are invited to apply. Candidates holding a PhD or expect to have an earned doctorate by the start of employment are preferred. Advanced ABD candidates will be considered but must complete the degree by the end of the first year of employment. The preferred candidates will have expertise in one or more of the following areas: health services management, healthcare operations, research methods, health policy, or environmental health. Applicants should demonstrate the potential for research and teaching excellence. Candidates applying for the Associate Professor rank are expected to have a proven record of scholarship as evidenced by peer reviewed publications/grants. Online teaching experience is preferred.
Salary: Competitive and commensurate with peer institution levels for rank and position and in keeping with candidate’s experience and credentials.

The Department of Public and Allied Health offers undergraduate degrees in Allied Health, Public Health, Applied Health, Health Care Administration, Dietetics, Nutrition Science, Medical Laboratory Science, and Nursing. A Master of Health Services Administration program has been developed to meet regional and national demand. The Master of Food and Nutrition is offered on-campus and through eCampus. The College of Health and Human Services offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs to over 2000 students.
