Insurance Specialist
Small & Large Group Insurance Specialist Full Time, Brandt Insurance Agency. The function of the Small & Large Group Insurance Specialist is to provide service and sales support to the group insurance book of business at Brandt Insurance. In addition, solicit, present, and install group insurance for Brandt Insurance. Provide support services in addition to core responsibilities.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; College degree preferred. Current California life, health, & accident license (Current with continuing education) 3 years+ experience in group benefits Holding or working towards specialty credentials in the area of group health/benefits and compliance with industry standards. Expert with Microsoft Office High level of experience in Client Relationship Management Systems (CRM) High level of experience in insurance quoting and management systems Strong communication, teamwork, and time management skills.
Duties And Responsibilities: Prospect, solicit, develop relationships, and transact business on behalf Brandt Insurance to grow the scope and revenues of the company. Produce & retain insurance business to meet or exceed organizational goals. Attend weekly priority meetings for review of pending, new business, and education activities. Earn and develop referrals for the commercial and personal lines divisions.
Work with Life & Health Manager:
1. Provide support and service to current policies and accounts, as necessary.
2. Orchestrate and/or delegate ongoing service and review schedules for relevant business.
3. Maintain a weekly activity log of sales and service activities.
4. Establish, develop, and maintain CRM (Redtail CRM/Imaging) and other systems for service and recordkeeping purposes.
Work with upper management to report real-time data on:
1. Production and inventory for Benefits.
2. Short term goals & planning - Help forecast near-term new business, renewal/retention, cross selling, referrals, reviews, testimonials.
3. Long term goals & planning - forecast future production, renewal/retention, business challenges and opportunities.
Attend carrier and industry marketing/education meetings, if available. Maintain expense records for business activities, travels, and purchases. Provide prompt, accurate, courteous service to customers, producers, external company personnel, and internal co-workers.
