Bremerton Housing Authority (BHA) is a small public, local government agency that provides affordable housing to the Kitsap area community. BHA also oversees HUD housing programs in multiple states as a federal contractor. Our mission is to provide high quality, stable and sustainable housing and related services to people who have limited financial means. Our work is to help our clients to become economically self-sufficient, while at the same time strengthen communities. We use our public and private resources efficiently and effectively. The Ideal Candidate
This is a great opportunity for college students, parents with young children, people who are semi-retired, people with disabilities, or any other reason to work part time in a professional capacity. With several large HR projects happening this year, we are seeking someone can roll up their sleeves and dig right in. The most ideal candidate will have great attention to detail with ability to follow directions, yet think outside the box help improve HR programs. The best candidates will have HR Generalist experience in in the nonprofit social services, government sectors, or other similar experience. The Location BHA is based in beautiful Bremerton, WA where it is a great place to live and/or work. There is a convenient "fast" ferry within blocks of our corporate offices, which goes directly to downtown Seattle. So you can live in Seattle and take a ferry to work! Or, you can live in the Kitsap area where you'll be close to plenty of outdoor activities, such as hiking, fishing, skiing, or relaxing on the beach. Education:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in human resources or related field;
Experience:
At least three (3) years' experience in administering Human Resources programs which included using Microsoft Office and an HRIS system such as ADP Workforce Now.
Computer Skills:
Must have intermediate experience working with Excel spreadsheets. Must have adequate experience using Word and Outlook. Having experience in ADP HRIS systems is a definite plus.
Certifications & Licenses:
