Job Summary
The Assisted Living / Memory Care Manager directs the Assisted Living and Memory Care Departments to ensure competent and safe administration of services to residents with the goal of offering and/or enhancing residents’ integrity, growth, and control of overall quality for their life.
Essential Job Specific Duties/Responsibilities
- Directs the Assisted Living and Memory Care Departments to ensure the safe, competent delivery of services to residents.
- Implements and oversees all potential Memory Care Programming
- Assesses new and potential residents, determining appropriateness of placement and Care Levels.
- Plans, develops, implements, and is accountable for a budget for all department supplies and expenses, including staffing.
- Handles or shares on-call duties.
- Remains accountable for supervision of all departmental staff.
- Counsels with family members about resident, family, or facility concerns.
- Oversees the maintenance of adequate records on all residents to ensure continuity of services and compliance with all record-keeping requirements.
- Ensures that proper in-service training is provided to all Assisted Living and Memory Care staff.
- Satisfies all educational in-service requirements mandated by CHI Living Communities, the department, external accrediting, and regulatory agencies.
- Oversees and manages all transportation coordination, in conjunction with nurses and drivers, for residents in the Assisted Living Unit.
- Collaborates with Central Supply and ancillary departments as needed.
In addition to the essential job specific duties listed above, the Assisted Living / Memory Care Manager shall be required to perform all duties (essential and non-essential) in a manner consistent with the mission statement and core values (reverence, integrity, compassion, excellence) of CHI Living Communities and will be evaluated on such basis. Furthermore, every employee must abide by all campus, departmental, and safety policies, rules, and regulations.
Job Requirements
Education: Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in state of employment. Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Certification in Gerontology Nursing by ANCA.
Experience: One - three years of geriatric care, long-term care, rehabilitative, or equivalent experience. Possess sound assessment skills. Experience in health education.
Attendance: Regular attendance is an essential part of this job.
