Community Service Officer
City of Burlington is recruiting for a Community Service Officer Police Department; $3,712.34 - $4,178.26 monthly; FLSA non-exempt, non-represented, civil service position. Uniformed, limited commission position which performs duties related to animal control services, parking enforcement, and other parking related services.
High School Diploma required, must be at least 21 years of age, three (3) years customer service experience required, preferred three (3) years customer service experience in dealing with general public. Must possess a valid Washington State driver's license and a driving record acceptable to the City's insurance carrier. Must be able to pass a written and oral Civil Service examination, background investigation, and polygraph examination.

The Community Service Officer is a uniformed, limited commission position which performs duties related to animal control services, parking enforcement, and other parking related services. The Community Service Officer is not a commissioned Police Officer; the Community Service Officer performs a variety of functions that do not require Peace Officer certification. All duties and tasks are expected to be performed in an attentive, effective, efficient and safe manner.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- High School Diploma required.
- Three (3) years customer service experience in dealing with the general public.
- Preferred three (3) years experience with duties closely related to those described above.
- Valid Washington State Drivers License with driving record acceptable to the Citys insurance carrier.
