Brief DescriptionSeeking a passionate and driven Advance Practice Nurse to assist behavioral health clients at our CenterPath Wellness location! Must be licensed as an APN and licensed with prescriptive privileges in NJ with current DEA and CDS registrations to prescribe all classes of medication. Duties include conducting psychiatric evaluations and updates, medication management, education, participation in treatment planning and performance improvement activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for providing direct clinical services to adult patients seen in MICA IOP and Outpatient, and/or Partial Care departments of the Clinic.
- These responsibilities include assessment, treatment planning, discharge planning, individual, group, health and nutritional counseling, as well as administering of injectable medications to designated patients, and professional documentation of clinical activity.
- Is also responsible for conducting psycho-educational groups with patients and significant others and in-service training for staff, participating in clinical team meetings, in-service training and other staff and committee meetings, and providing other professional and administrative duties as may be required.
- This position also includes prescribing medication under the supervision of a psychiatrist and backs up the psychiatrist when he or she may be on vacation.

RequirementsLICENSE/CERTIFICATION:
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the State of New Jersey
- Licensed/Certified by the State of New Jersey as an Advance Practice Nurse (Clinical Nurse Specialist or Nurse Practitioner) in mental health nursing with prescriptive authority
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Masters Degree in adult psychiatric and mental health nursing from an accredited school of nursing
- Prescriptive authority
