Accounting Manager

LOCATION: Filling Home of Mercy

SHIFT: 24-40 Hours per week

FUNCTION: This position is responsible for all accounting, payroll, financial and cost reporting of Filling Homes. Responsibilities: Supervise and oversee the daily and weekly accounting and bookkeeping functions of the organization. Post the general ledger monthly from all books of original entry. Prepare and post monthly general ledger journal entries such as FICA and Workers' Compensation premium. Prepare monthly financial reports. Review the reconciliation of all bank accounts on a monthly basis. Oversee bi-weekly payroll for organization including payroll processes and procedures. Review payroll reports, such as IRS Form 941. Prepare annual operating budget.

Qualifications: Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance, or appropriate combination of education and experience. Minimum of 2 - 4 years' experience in an Accounting or Finance position preferred. Supervisory experience required. Must be computer literate with Microsoft office and general ledger experience. Experience in budgeting, financial forecasting and cost accounting Awareness of financial accounting standards. Knowledge of internal audit functions. Knowledge of Medicaid reimbursement system preferred. Payroll Processing experience preferred. Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, with minimal supervision. Ability to effectively communicate appropriately both verbally and in writing with all levels of employees and vendors.
