JOURNEYMAN MAINTENANCE MECHANIC
¶ Install light fixtures and receptacles.
¶Move, remove, or install electrical circuits and motors.
¶"Troubleshoot" and make repairs or corrections on motors, switches, switch panels, fuse boxes, lighting, heating, or power circuits, junction boxes.
¶Install, connect, and adjust electrical gauges and recording instruments.
¶Responsible for repair, installation, operation, and maintenance of all packaging electronic components, scales, and related equipment.
¶Recognize and correct potential electronic instrument failures.
¶Test, time, and calibrate electronic instruments and related equipment for efficient performance.
¶Adjust and control boiler fires, watch level, make fuel draft, and water supply adjustments to produce maximum boiler efficiency.
¶Read and record readings as required of all temperature flow, pressure, and electric gauges.
¶Be able to read and interpret sketches, operating instructions, etc. and determine proper operating and repair procedures.
- Starts, stops machinery
-Checks machinery as it pertains to proper operation, timing weight, lubrication wear, cleanliness
- Clears jams during production runs and makes simple routine adjustments required on a repetitious basis, and
- Calls on the area Rate I mechanic if he is unable to correct a problem of a non-repetitious nature.
¶Maintain sanitary conditions in work areas, equipment and tools.
¶Lift heavy objects by hand and cleans work area, machines and equipment.
¶Other duties as directed.
¶Food manufacturing exp. a plus.
¶Supervisory or Lead exp. a plus.
Hourly rate $28-$35 DOE
