A position is available in the chambers of Justice Carol A. Beier, Kansas Supreme Court.
Job Duties: Research attorneys perform highly responsible confidential legal work for a justice of the Kansas Supreme Court. The research attorneys review the briefs and underlying case records filed with the Supreme Court, research questions of law presented, prepare prehearing research memoranda based on case facts and law, receive additional legal research assignments for memoranda, write memos on petitions for review and motions, and perform other tasks as assigned by the supervising justice.
Required Education and Experience: Admission to the Kansas Bar or a temporary permit to practice law in Kansas.
