E-911 PSAP Equipment Administrator
- Summary
KCIT is seeking an E-911 PSAP Equipment Administrator. This position is responsible for providing support to ensure NG911 standards in the County system are met. The incumbent will manage equipment that connects the PSAPs, support the E-911 CPE and the interface to related equipment, including ACD and telephone equipment, reader boards, CAD, logging recorder, and 911 call statistics.

Work Schedule
The normal workweek for this position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Alternative work schedules may be considered. This position is not eligible for overtime pay.
After Hours Support availability:
This position requires that you be available to provide remote or onsite support 24/7 for a week at a time, currently on a three week rotating basis. Available to provide occasional overnight onsite support for scheduled maintenance, as needed. Ability to carry a two way communication device 24/7.

9-1-1 equipment support:
- Maintain, support and manage the E-911/NG-911 equipment at the PSAPs and the Test PSAP; assist with coordination of the interface and integration of multiple E-911/NG-911 equipment and/or software deployments/upgrades in the PSAPs with various service providers; maintain, configure and support networks supporting ancillary equipment and services to the PSAPs; provide after-hours support to maintain system.
- Act as a resource and primary point of contact to E-911 PSAP technical teams and equipment users; respond to technical and system inquiries; provide timely response to help fix/repair requests, outage issues and coordination with PSAPs and vendors as necessary
- Maintain, tag and monitor equipment inventory; assist in planning for and implementation of routine equipment refresh cycles; participate in project management teams to plan and deploy systems and technologies; other duties as required.
- Available to provide remote or onsite support 24/7 for a week at a time, currently on a three week rotating basis. Available to provide occasional overnight onsite support for scheduled maintenance, as needed. Ability to carry a two way communication device 24/7.
- Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills
- 3-5 years' experience Enterprise support of high availability computer systems and networks.
- Possess a valid Washington State Driver's License
- Experience supporting virtualized environments.
- Experience configuring phone systems.
- Ability to maintain system security by application of patches, and performance of routine updates.
- Experience with backup and restore procedures for critical data.
- Have the ability to organize and prioritize work to coordinate multiple equipment and projects with multiple vendors simultaneously.
- Are flexible and adapt as required, while working in a multi-faceted and sometimes ambiguous environment.
- Are proficient using office productivity tools in daily work (The County uses Microsoft
- Office, and other online collaboration tools).
Desirable Experience
- Specific E-911/NG911 training at NENA national development and annual conferences.
- Experience troubleshooting complex systems and networks.
- Experience with VOIP telephony and Automatic Call Distribution.
- Understanding of ITIL framework.
- Familiar with Change Management process.

- Possess a valid Washington State Driver's License
