The Sales Assistant must be detail‐oriented, creative, and personable, articulate clearly and
possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, organizational and time management skills, basic computer skills, and effective customer service skills. The Sales Assistant must be able to offer reliable support to the Sales Executives and help improve efficiency as sales volume increases.
Duties
- Arrange meetings and phone calls for Sales Executives, including conference rooms or webinar setup. This includes communicating appropriately to internal and/or external constituents.
- Coordinate/arrange Sales Executives travel schedule(s).
- Provide follow-up after marketing events, such as sending literature, entering leads into Salesforce, and coordinate with marketing team to ensure that items are staged properly.
- Direct sales leads to appropriate member of the sales team.
- Respond to emails, phone calls, and other forms of correspondence as needed.
- Collaborate with the Sales Executives to monitor potential client activity and make sure that information is disseminated in a timely basis.
- Provide rapid notification, typically via SMS, of messages that require timely handling.
- Provide reminders of follow-up to messages regarding sales leads.
- Contact customers to answer basic procedural questions or to gauge their level of satisfaction with the company.
- Aid in crafting difficult email messages as requested.
- Assist in making PowerPoint presentations.
- Provide occasional support to the conference team, including public-facing staffing of the registration booth during the annual user conference.
- Obtain and collate information for sales meetings. Write and distribute the agenda.
- Develop and maintain product and industry knowledge.
- Other duties as assigned by Sales Manager.

Qualifications
Associate’s degree and 2 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Significant drive to succeed – be a go-getter. Significant experience in the practice of maintaining privacy and discretion. Long term practice and knowledge of quality assurance/control practices. Ideal candidate must be able to operate in an entrepreneurial, small company environment. Driver’s license required.
Physical Requirements
Generally, the Sales Assistant will spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers. Generally, this position is considered sedentary and will be faced with regular interruptions. Ability to travel up to 3 times a year for ~3-4 days. The Sales Assistant must be able to navigate airports, and locate client facilities. As part of the travel required, should occasionally be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
