Early Intervention Developmental Specialist
Professional needed to work with infants and toddlers (ages 0-5 years) who have developmental delays. Must be able to provide developmentally appropriate interventions using a family-centered approach. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Nursing, Social Work, or related field plus two (2) years of experience working with developmentally delayed or at-risk children, ages birth through five (5), and their families in a full-time, paid, supervised position or valid Provisional Early Intervention Certification from Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD).
Minimum Qualifications, Education and Experiences:
A. Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Nursing, Social Work, or related field. Masters degree in a related area preferred.
B. Experience:
- Two years of experience working with developmentally delayed or at-risk children, ages birth through five (5), and their families in a full-time, paid, supervised position or valid Provisional Early Intervention Certification from Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD).
- One-year service coordination experience preferred.
C. Credentials:
- Certification: Certification as required by the Ohio Department Developmental Disabilities.
- Registration: N/A
- Licensure: Valid driver’s license.
D. Ancillary Training:
- Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED and First Aid
- Mandatory training as required by the Board and/or DODD
E. Other:
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
- Requires own transportation
