Academic Specialist
The School of Planning, Design and Construction seeks a full-time Academic Specialist with continuing appointment to teach core Urban & Regional Planning program and Integrative Studies curriculum.
This Academic Specialist in Teaching (non-tenure track teaching position) is continual/permanent following two successful probationary reviews at year 2 and 5. The person would teach core Urban & Regional Planning curriculum and has possible opportunities for specialized courses and on-line courses depending on expertise. The person also has student advising and recruitment for the service component. Expected start date is August 2019.

Minimum Requirements
A master's degree in urban and regional planning, or related field, is required by August 16, 2019. A successful candidate will be expected to have demonstrated teaching effectiveness or excellence.
Desired Qualifications
A doctorate degree in urban and regional planning, or related field, is preferred. American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification and/or on-line teaching experience are preferred.
