OVERVIEW
REACH (Regional Education Assessment Crisis Services Habilitation) is a systems-linkage approach to community based crisis stabilization and prevention supports for individuals have a developmental disability and co-occurring behavioral health diagnosis or challenging behavior that is negatively affecting their quality of life. The underlying philosophy of REACH is that supports will be most effective when the entire support system participates actively in treatment and service decisions. The REACH Coordinator works with the team to provide direct crisis intervention, crisis stabilization, and crisis prevention services to individuals served. Must be willing to travel with occasional overnights. Rotating evening and weekend call is required. Openings are located in: Roanoke Valley/Martinsville/NRV.
QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from an accredited university with at least a Master's degree in a human services related field and two years of experience working with individuals with DD/MH or a bachelor's degree and five years of experience working with individuals with both DD/MH diagnoses. Prefer individual who has experience working with both children and adults. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required. Must be certified by the Virginia REACH Program within 12 months of beginning training. Driver's license and acceptable driving record are required.
