- Assists in the implementation of Ambulatory care, Emergency and Outpatient EHR modules and enhancement solutions to include Epic, SCM, Follow My Health, Clinical Performance Management, Care Manager, Wellsoft, Dragon, Vincari, Telehealth software and processes, etc.
- Responsible for developing and editing training guides, CBT Modules, and keeping the online electronic training environments current with new features and functions, as well as education of system users at NMHS.
- Provides direct hands on education and support to staff in the use of technical/clinical systems in a manner which promotes patient safety and confidentiality.
- Conducts virtual training while maintaining participant engagement.
- Develop application specific training curriculums and materials and new program development.
- Responsible for training environment build for assigned EHR and Epic modules and solutions.
- Responsible for analysis of efficiency of automation from the user perspective, recommendation of actions to facilitate appropriate system performance and assessment of user needs for NMHS facilities. Provides front line support for major system implementations.
- Stays abreast of functionality improvements in new versions and testing during upgrades; on an ongoing basis, takes advantage of available resources to improve knowledge and understanding of the system.
- Tests new releases and applies specialized knowledge and experience to the process to ensure that version upgrades function smoothly.
- Contribute to preparation of testing scripts and materials and perform unit, system, and integrated testing tasks.
- Maintains policies/procedures documentation as it relates to EHR and Epic training for all clinical disciplines.
- Documents all changes and enhancements requested by users to the above systems and interfaces to ensure appropriate personnel will be aware of the changes.
- Provides "at the elbow" support for new providers and clinicians as appropriate.
- Holds primary responsibility for Epic requests
- Associate's Degree (AA/AS) in Psychology, Human Resources, Organization Development, Education, English and/or equivalent education and work required
- Bachelor's degree preferred in one of the following: Nursing, Education or English. Certification/license in a clinical discipline preferred
- Minimum of at least 2 years prior experience with both technical support and design of the electronic health record and other clinical system preferred.
- Advanced skill in Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of clinical scope of practice regulations
- Proven ability to organize and assist application analysis in project initiatives.
- Effective organizational and time management skills.
- Must have good oral communication and ability to teach adult learners.
- Ability to achieve deadlines and demonstrate a strong work ethic
