Job Summary:
Psychologist for Evanston, IL location. Conduct intake assessments and provide short-term therapy in individual and group setting with a specific focus on Asian and Asian American students.
Specific Responsibilities:
Conduct intake assessments and provide short-term therapy in individual and group setting with a specific focus on Asian and Asian American students.
Provide psychological assessments, intakes, crisis intervention and management, triage, daytime walk-in emergency service and assume after hours on-call responsibilities for daytime and evening emergency services.
Consult with parents, physicians, faculty, academic deans, residence life staff, off-campus counseling services.
Participate in clinical supervision and training experiences for graduate trainees.
Conduct case management and consultation to trainees.
Consult with Psychiatrists in conjunction with prescribing and monitoring psychotropic medication for psychotherapy patients.
Participate in outreach preventative programs.
Minimum Qualifications:
PhD or Psy.D in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA accredited academic program plus 1 year experience in the job offered or as Counselor required.
Required Skills:
Completion of 1 year pre-doctoral internship at an APA accredited academic site. 1 year experience working in comprehensive university counseling center, must include working with Asian/Asian American students on campus, including psychological assessments, individual and group therapy, crisis intervention and outreach preventative programs. Experience providing clinical supervision. Must be Licensed or License Eligible in Illinois. Must be fluent in Mandarin. After hours on-call rotation required.
