Payroll Administrator/Human Resources Assistant
Location: NRCA Main Office, 1093 E Main St, Radford, VA 24141.
Responsibilities: The Payroll Administrator/Human Resources Assistant is responsible for a variety of detailed tasks involving the maintenance and preparation of confidential fiscal and employment records including, but not limited to the following:
-Ensures accurate and timely preparation and processing of the agency's payroll.
-Provides timely enrollment and termination of staff on and off of fringe benefit plans.
-Maintains payroll and Human Resources database by accurately entering various type of payroll and employment records.
-Prepares all quarterly federal, state, and year-end payroll reports including W-2s and 1095s.
-Assists Human Resources Manager in the annual renewal process of all fringe benefits.
-Understands and can effectively communicate the agency's payroll and personnel policies and procedures to staff.
-Ensures completion of all pre-employment screenings and testing.
-Serves as back up to Human Resources Manager.
Education and Experience Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent education plus two years' experience in payroll processing or Human Resources Status and Pay Information: Full time, hourly position.
Starting pay range: $12.21-$14.04 per hour (depending upon qualifications), plus benefits NRCA conducts pre-employment criminal background and driving record checks. Possession of a valid driver's license and good driving record required. Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing required.
