Government & Economic Development Partnerships Coordinate statewide work base learning efforts. Work as a single point of contact for Oklahoma employers. Provide leadership and support to companies within Oklahoma's ecosystems to develop youth and adult apprenticeships. Assist in work base learning initiatives to meet the Oklahoma's current and future workforce needs through business and education partnerships.
A minimum of three years experience in workforce development, education, career development, or educational partnerships in business and industry. Preference given to experience in workforce connections, career development or community partnerships. Requires ability to conduct professional development. Bachelor's degree required. Stillwater base preferred. School and industry visits and other travel may be required.
Duties/Essential Functions:
Coordinate partners, and serve as the liaison to drive the growth of apprenticeship, internship, and other work based learning opportunities in the state. Provides leadership and technical assistance to employers seeking to build and sustain their talent pipeline through apprenticeship, internship, and other work base learning opportunities. Work closely with local workforce development boards; Career Technicians; K-12 counselors, students, superintendents, and other change-makers to create business-educational partnerships. Work with local chambers of commerce; economic development groups; employer associations; and individual employers to develop sector partnerships and individual apprenticeship and internship programs. Determine the available training and placement markets within the top ecosystem employers in Oklahoma, including major segments and performance measures that provide both leading and lagging indicators. (i.e., placement rates, available positions, retention rates, etc.) Conduct periodic surveys of employers and technology centers to gauge satisfaction with work base learning process. Increase work based learning opportunities to support career pathway development and completion.
Salary/Benefits:
$59,575 - $68,511 commensurate with education or experience. Total salary and benefits package valued at $72,352 - $81,961.
