Washington Schools Risk Management Pool
The Washington Schools Risk Management Pool seeks a Claims & Legal Affairs Manager to serve as WSRMP Public Records Officer, providing technical claims and legal expertise to the claims program, and to manage the administration of litigation and liability claims; including claims policy and procedure, as well as fiscal responsibility.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
- Experience in claims management.
- Prior paralegal experience in insurance or a similar environment.
Preferred Qualifications (Cover letter should specifically address any experience meeting the preferred qualifications)
- Previous experience with public records requests and/or school law
- Experience working in insurance and/or pooling industry managing claims and litigation.
- Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation and/or Senior Claim Law Associate (SCLA) designation or equivalent.
This is a FT, year ’round position, based in Tukwila. Salary (Band N): $83,502 - $96,837/year. Candidate offers consider experience, qualifications and internal equity. The Washington Schools Risk Management Pool (WSRMP) is a self-funded non-profit risk pool composed solely of 93 public schools, 7 Educational Service Districts, and their inter-local cooperatives. WSRMP exists in partnership with its members to provide staff and student communities a safe and protected educational environment, while protecting member resources.
WSRMP is affiliated with Puget Sound Educational Service District (PSESD) which provides human resource services to WSRMP. PSESD is one of nine regional educational agencies serving school districts, charter schools and state-approved private schools in Washington.
