The Richmond Behavioral Health Authority has a full-time position available for a Program Supervisor II-Adult Mental Health Case Management to perform professional and administrative work coordinating and supervising clinical and case management activities, supervising the work of staff within a program, ensuring the quality of program services, coordinating services with other divisions and community partners, maintaining records and files, preparing reports, and related work as apparent or assigned. Job Duties Supervises clinical and case management activities; ensures health, safety and welfare of clients; plans, organizes, directs and supervises assigned staff; supervises crisis interventions. Sets program priorities; monitors and evaluates service delivery in accordance with established guidelines and principles; develops and enforces program policies and procedures. Assists in the recruitment and selection of program personnel; assigns, directs, trains and inspects the work of staff; disciplines, coaches, counsels and evaluates staff performance; recommends suspensions and termination; develops staff schedules and approves leave. Conducts meetings to discuss client/program/staff concerns or changes; consults with teams and committees in the planning and development of treatment and discharge plans; coordinates admissions and discharges of clients. Monitors and audits clinical and medical records and practices for compliance with regulatory, reimbursement and agency standards; reviews documentation for accuracy. Conducts direct care with clients; performs intakes, client assessments and diagnostic interviews; assists clients with activities of daily living. Provides crisis intervention and prevention services to individuals and families; develops crisis response plans; provides consultation and education to staff and clients. Consults and coordinates treatment with other service providers and client support system. Community outreach presentations to local community partners and other service providers. Reviews, tracks and analyzes reports; prepares and submits reports. Manages program budgets; reviews accuracy of program and contract billing; reviews service activity logs; submits payroll/timesheets to Finance. Prepares and distributes correspondence to staff to improve communication and shares important announcements, deadlines, changes, etc. Serves on a variety of committees as directed; attends and participates in a variety of meetings. Attends professional conferences and trainings as required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Thorough knowledge of community-based behavioral health principles and psychotherapeutic assessment and treatment techniques; thorough knowledge of the theories and techniques of counseling, psychotherapy and crisis intervention; thorough knowledge of community resources and human services network; thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of clinical supervision; general knowledge of managed care systems; skill in maintaining medical records requirements and professional documentation; ability to supervise the work of others; ability to solve problems within scope of responsibility; ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; ability to prepare and present reports and program recommendations; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, subordinates, associates, law enforcement, medical personnel, community partners and the general public. . |
Position Requirements |
Education and Experience Master's degree with coursework in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field and considerable experience providing community-based mental health services including considerable supervisory experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Special Requirements Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Licensed Professional Counselor, or License Marriage and Family Therapist Valid driver’s license in the Commonwealth of Virginia. |

Starting Salary Range | $57,803.08-$70,837.12 |
