Prevention Programs Coordinator
Summit County is recruiting a Prevention Programs Coordinator looking to improve community awareness of mental health and substance abuse, increase access to effective treatment, and increase effective prevention efforts. Responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and implementing substance use and suicide related prevention programs for the general population within Summit County. Considerable knowledge is required of current best practices for behavioral health prevention programs and services, Utah Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health policies and directives, community coalitions, fundraising practices, grant writing and office practices. A working knowledge of Utah Code: 17-43-201 and the ability to supervise volunteers, oversee multiple projects and functions simultaneously, and communicate effectively, verbally and in writing is fundamental for this position.
Minimum Qualifications: a bachelor's degree in Health, Behavioral, or Social Science and four years? experience with behavioral health prevention programs at a Local Substance Abuse Authority or its corresponding Local Contracted Provider.
Special Qualifications: a valid, non-restricted driver's license, reliable transportation, and Substance Abuse Prevention Specialist Training certification issued by the Utah Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health.
Salary Range: $37,408.72 - $52,433.13 annually, part-time 30 hours, benefited. We offer a generous benefit package with options for a premium free health plan, dental plan, and life insurance.
