The Town of Swansea is seeking applicants for the 31 hour/week position of Senior Clerk.
Duties include typing, filing, letter writing, preparing permits, licenses, forms and collection of fees. Must be able to multi-task. Computer skills include knowledge of Window based programs/software: Microsoft Word, Excel, & Access. Position requires the use of the Central Voter Registry Information System and the State Vitals System. There is a large level of confidentiality that must be adhered to. Elections: preparation for, setup and assist with the execution of elections and town meetings. This position requires mandatory overtime for Town Meetings, State and Federal Primaries, Early Voting and Elections. Position will require ability to maintain good public relations. Interaction with the general public, both in person and on the phone, assisting with most aspects of the Clerk’s Office and handling general complaints. Other general office and clerical duties as assigned. This job description is not a complete detail of all duties and responsibilities of the Senior Clerk. HOURS: Full Time – 31 Hours WAGE
