The Blade, a division of Block Communications Inc.,
has been serving news to northwest Ohio and southeastern Michigan since 1835
and is the most trusted local news source. The Blade continues to evolve and deliver
credible, informative, and daily content both in print and digital formats.
The successful candidate will enhance relationships with current accounts and target potential advertisers to acquire new accounts. A wide degree of creativity and ingenuity is expected to develop digital advertising programs that address client needs and grow revenue.
We are looking for candidates:
• Who are self-motivated, passionate and driven to succeed;
• Have an eagerness to learn digital media with a proven track record of building lasting client relationships;
• Successful and engaged prospectors and cultivators, who connect with clients daily and have the ability to uncover client needs and present advertising solutions that deliver results and earn repeat business;
• Experienced in consultative selling process, including pre-call discovery and setting appointments, completing a comprehensive needs analysis with potential clients, creating proposals, and presenting and closing business.
Must be a sales hunter while maintaining outstanding customer service skills. Have an ability to use a CRM to track sales activity and revenue. Possess a strong desire to bring positive energy and strong sales activity to the team. Maintaining a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a safe driving record is required.
