Thomas M. Wernert Center (TMWC) has expanded! TMWC provides a safe, welcoming, clubhouse environment for adults living with mental illness. Hope is found through peer to peer support, socialization, advocacy and mental health and wellness education. TMWC is hiring the following positions:
Activities Specialist - Research, plan, facilitate and participate in creative, educational and culturally diverse activities both on and off campus. Driving a 10 passenger van. Requirements: HS Diploma or GED, valid license, flexible hours including evenings and Saturday. 40 hours/week $13.00/hour.
Transportation Coordinator - Manage transportation program and vehicles. Create transportation schedule. Drive a 12+2 Accessible Minibus and 10 passenger Transit. Supervision of driver. Assist with the development of annual transportation program budget and maintenance schedules. Considerable knowledge of Lucas County roads. Requirements HS Diploma or GED, valid driver's license (CDL not required), 1 year professional driver, QStraint and supervision experience preferred. 40 hours/week. $17.00/hour.
Vehicle Driver - 12+2 Accessible Minibus and 10 passenger Transit. Assist with transportation schedule, maintains cleanliness and fuel. Considerable knowledge of Lucas County roads. Requirements HS Diploma or GED, valid driver's license (CDL not required), 1 year professional driver and QStraint experience. 40 hours/week. $13.00/hour.
Operations Assistant - Assist in building and campus maintenance. 20 hours/week. $11.50/hour.
Peer Supporter - Enthusiastically engage members in activities such as playing pool, foosball, ping pong, indoor and outdoor basketball and shuffleboard. Engage with members 1-on-1 or small groups, research topics and lead support meetings. Maintain cleanliness of clubhouse. Full and part-time positions. $13.00/hour. Requirements HS Diploma or GED, Ohio Peer Supporter Certification preferred.
For all positions, experience working with individuals in mental health and/or substance use recovery, developmental disabilities or related fields in social service preferred.
