Marketing & Branding Manager
The Blade is looking for a skilled marketing manager to help expand our readership base, primarily through our digital platforms.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing strategic community partnerships, preparing media sponsorship plans, coordinating event involvement, and supervising social and digital marketing efforts for several departments at The Blade.
Other responsibilities include managing contests, and overseeing the Explore 419 events site and app. Position requirements include a minimum 4-year degree, with marketing emphasis, experience in measuring and reporting performance of marketing campaigns, ability to work within a budget, basic understanding of Google analytics and other website analytics tools, and analyzing metrics and other data via spreadsheets.
This is a management position, with supervisory responsibilities for a creative services team and research and data specialists, and reports to the Director of Marketing & Creative Services. We are not only the largest newspaper in northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan, but along with toledoblade.com, Blade NewsSlide, and eBlade we reach more than 300,000 people weekly.
