BC/BE Orthopedic Hand Surgeon
Looking for a BC/BE Orthopedic Hand Surgeon to join a very busy private group setting with some light academic participation with large referral base. Group currently consists of 8 fellowship trained BC orthopedic surgeons (4 sports, 1 total joint, 1 foot/ankle, 1 hand, 1 spine) and 1 fellowship trained sports medicine family practice physician.
Group call is 6-7 weeks/year (taken 1 week at a time) to cover patient calls for all partners' patients
Optional trauma or general orthopedic call is available at multiple hospitals within metro area if desired, but not required
Family practice residents, family practice sports medicine fellows, ER residents, and PA students in office occasionally. Potential to teach orthopedic residents if desired but not required.
Office setting on orthopedic campus includes 14,000 square foot office building with attached 6 OR outpatient surgical center, attached 36 bed inpatient orthopedic hospital, attached Part-Time/Over Time. Immediate block time available at both centers.
The practice is mainly outpatient elective practice with some fracture care. Mainly bread and butter orthopedic hand including carpel tunnel, trigger finger, CMC arthritis, elbow, forearm, distal radius, carpal and hand fractures. Wrist and elbow arthroscopy, sports injuries, tendon entrapment's and injuries, arthritis, occasional RA, and shoulder work if desired.
Must have completed orthopedic residency program and post-residency fellowship in hand surgery successfully by start date. Must be BC/BE in orthopedics by start date.
Position mainly focused on elective hand surgery practice.
