The UIHC Department of Radiology –Is now advertising for an Engineering Coordinator and a PACS Engineering Coordinator.
Engineering Coordinator
Install, repair and maintain complex radiological diagnostic imaging equipment and associated components/equipment. Employees receive specialized training to maintain CT scanners, MRI scanners, PET scanners, Ultrasound systems and Nuclear Medicine cameras. Staff members participate in on-call rotation and are required to be able to return to UIHC within a thirty-minute commute time. Staff members must participate in rotating-shift schedule.
Engineering Coordinator PACS
Responsible for day-to-day operation of PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) equipment including image workflow, archiving, auto-routing, diagnostic viewing and prefetching and other related activities. Works closely with your team to oversee complete capture of DICOM digital image data into the PACS system while ensuring timely access to diagnostic quality images are available 365x24x7. This position will require an ability to become proficient with an in-depth understanding of all Radiology interoperability and end-user workflow and support.
