Harborview Medical Center has 2 outstanding opportunities for a 100% Full-Time, Mental Health Practitioner/Emergency Department Rapid Response Care Manager for the Emergency Department and Psychiatric Emergency Services (PES). Under general supervision of the Mental Health Practitioner Lead, this position provides intensive engagement, care-management, linkage and follow-up services for individuals who have been treated in the Emergency Departments (EDs). This program provides intensive case-management services to high utilizers of ED services. This position and program is funded by King County RSN contract.
This position will be responsible for identifying and referring high utilizer clients of the Emergency Department for service coordination with King County Mental Health and Chemical Abuse and Dependency Services. This position will provide assertive outreach and engagement services, to facilitate linkage and coordination with on-going services and community supports. The MHP will be expected to be able to work with a wide variety of patients and be sensitive to the culture, religion, language, age, gender, sexual orientation, and ability of the clients we serve. They will work within trauma informed care, motivational interviewing, harm reduction modalities with a recovery orientation.

Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.
DESIRED:
A Master's Degree in behavioral sciences, such as psychology, psychiatric nursing, occupational therapy, vocational or educational counseling, or social work.
Appropriate clinical licensure or registration in the State of Washington.
