Assistant Professor, Instrumental Music Education
Job Description
Tenure track, full time, 9 months. Start date: August 10, 2020. Duties: The successful candidate will maintain a national research portfolio including publications, conference presentations, and other appropriate creative activity; teach courses in instrumental music education; observe and mentor student teachers; lead curricular updates and development as necessary; contribute to student recruitment activities; and serve on committees and perform other appropriate university service.

Required Qualifications
· Ph.D., Ed.D., or DME in Music Education
· Demonstrated success in teaching at the college level
· Secondary school classroom teaching experience (instrumental)
· Demonstrated record of or potential for scholarly research and publication
Preferred Qualifications
· Demonstrated commitment to topics related to diversity and inclusion in the classroom and/or campus community.
