Job Description

Primary responsibility is processing financial aid to include performing needs analysis, resolving student eligibility issues, performing verification, determining eligibility for financial aid, processing awards including all types of student loans, and adjusting aid including resolving overawards. This position will also provide customer service to students, parents, faculty, staff, and public through in person, phone, and email counseling. This position will be responsible for program management in assigned areas of responsibilities (i.e. Federal Grants, Federal Stafford Loans, etc.)

Required Qualifications

This position requires a self-directed person who works cooperatively, adapts easily and quickly, accepts responsibility, ensures a high level of accuracy with attention to detail, and thrives in a high-volume environment. Knowledge and skill requirements include: Bachelor's degree, or equivalent training and experience; demonstrated proficiency in prioritizing and managing multiple competing tasks; demonstrated listening and communication skills, written communication skills, and public speaking and presentation skills; demonstrated proficiency with standard office software; and the ability to exercise sound judgment in making difficult decisions.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in a financial aid office.
