Position: Human Resources Coordinator
Starting Salary: $4,143 per month $4,349 after six (6) months
Location: HR/Risk Office

Brief Duties and Responsibilities: Provides coordination, support, and guidance in the consistent and effective application of policies, procedures, and practices of the Human Resources/Risk Management Department. Duties require knowledge and application of county personnel practices and procedures, human resources functions, and general human resources/risk management principles and guidelines. Work involves contact with the general public, other public agencies, elected officials and department heads and their employees. The position requires strong interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of customers. Working Environment/Abilities: Work is performed in an office setting. Must be able to lift up to twenty (20) pounds and sit for extended periods of time. Physical abilities required for this position are ones typically related to office operations; manual dexterity and visual acuity to operate personal computers and other office equipment; accessing file cabinets; and sufficient hearing and speech ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
Minimum Qualifications: Two (2) year college degree with emphasis in Human Resources, office administration (or comparable) or certificate in Human Resources, office assistant, executive assistant, or administrative assistant plus two (2) years’ experience in the human resources environment; OR four (4) years of progressive experience in human resources or an office administration environment. Excellent communication skills and confidentiality are required. Risk Management experience desired. Must be bondable and required to become a notary within six (6) months of hire.
