Police Lieutenant
Waterville Township is accepting applications for the full-time position of Police Lieutenant. Duties include assisting the Chief of Police in the administration, direction, and coordination of police department operations as assigned. Directly provides supervision, guidance, and training to subordinates. Assists with patrol, traffic enforcement, investigating crimes, completing written reports, testifying in court, interacting with citizens, and other related duties as assigned. Applicants must possess a high school diploma; a college degree is preferred. Applicants must have a minimum of 8 years of experience in a municipal, county or state police agency with 3 years as a Sergeant or above.
A valid Ohio driver's license and a current Ohio Peace Officer's certification that meets the requirements of ORC 109.77 is required. Applicants may not have any felony, assault, or domestic violence convictions. Position may require working varied hours, weekends and/or holidays, in all weather conditions.
