WOCAP is currently seeking someone for their Facilities Department
STARTING PAY WILL DEPEND ON EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Provide oversight for maintenance and upkeep duties for the WOCAP facilities. Responsible for accident investigation, working with Safety Chairs when updating WOCAP Safety and Emergency Plan and sitting in on all WOCAP Safety Committee meetings and attend West Central Ohio safety meetings. Responsible for supervising and tracking of inventory, storage needs and working with outside vendors.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: The principal responsibilities of the position are:
- Supervise any staff as budgeted and any temporary employees that are assisting in this work.
- Perform minor maintenance repairs, assembling of equipment, painting, etc. as needed.
- Responsible for inventory of all building supplies and ordering supplies as needed.
- Responsible for overseeing upkeep of central building and outlying site buildings as needed.
- Move furniture, receive and transport equipment.
- Set up and take down for meetings, workshops, screenings and other events as required.
- Responsible for snow removal in winter and mowing in summer for WOCAP Central building and all outlying sites.
- Serve as substitute for delivering breakfast, lunches and snacks to Child Development Services classrooms on an emergency basis only.
- Advise Chief Executive Officer of maintenance/facility’s needs.
- Attend Management meetings on an as needed basis.
- Assist with the Emergency Plan, accident investigations and attend the West Central Ohio Safety meetings.
- Collect bids and quotes for all major facility renovations and repairs.
- Maintain accurate records regarding facilities.
- Maintain and dispose of agency records according to policy.
- Assist maintenance, troubleshooting and support for all system functions.
JOB RELATED SKILLS REQUIREMENTS: The minimum requirements of the job are:
- Education: Minimum High School Diploma with certifications in related fields.
- Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively - written and verbal. Must have the ability to assist and relate to a diverse population.
- Experience: Minimum of two years in a related field.
- Other: Knowledge of non-profit agency. Knowledge of maintenance terms and procedures. Multi-craft skills are a plus. Must have a valid Ohio driver’s license, current vehicle insurance and access to a privately-owned vehicle during scheduled work hours.
- Computer skills: Including ability to check electronic mail, entering data into program specific software for required reports and Internet skills are required. Testing applicable prior to job placement for verification.
