Summary:
Yamhill County has an opening for a regular contracted licensed psychiatric medical practitioner to work 20-40 hours per week in the Adult Behavioral Health Community Outpatient Integrated Services Program. Responsibilities of this position will include the psychiatric evaluation, treatment planning, supervision of subsequent treatment interventions, and timely review and approval of services for individuals served through all applicable insurances and may also include Medication Assisted Treatment for individuals with qualifying substance use disorders (as certified to do so) and as medically appropriate. As a member of the medical team, the licensed psychiatric medical practitioner provides psychiatric and medical assessment and treatment to individuals referred for medication services, both routine and urgent/emergent medication evaluation and treatment.

Health coverage - Group medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage for the entire family. For the 2018-19 plan year, the County pays 99% of the monthly premium and employees pay 1% ($15.10 per month) for the Base Plan. With this plan, employees are eligible for a $100 a month contribution into an HRA VEBA account. Buy-up plans are also available.
Retirement - PERS (Public Employee Retirement System) contribution is 100% employer funded, which includes both contribution to PERS pension and IAP accounts (IAP contribution is 6% of salary).
Short-Term Disability – 100% County paid
Life insurance - $6,000 for employee/$2,000 for spouse and children – 100% County Paid.
Vacation/Sick Leave - Flexible Earned Time (FET) is a combination of vacation and sick leave. To start, you will earn 12.38 hours per month and future accruals increase based on years of service. After a year of service and depending on FET balance, employees may sell-back up to 40 hours of FET per year.
Qualifications:
Must qualify as a Licensed Psychiatric Medical Practitioner and be able to provide appropriate credentials of professional qualifications including evidence of current licensure in the State of Oregon as a designated practicing psychiatrist. Must have an NPI number or be able to obtain one upon employment. The licensed psychiatric medical provider is licensed to practice medicine in the state in which the program is operating and has strong clinical skills and experience providing treatment to adults needing psychiatric care including expertise in serving individuals with a serious and persistent mental illness, personality disorders, depression, anxiety, co-occurring substance use disorders etc. Successful completion of a background check is also required.
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and customer service skills, the ability to multi-task, and flexibility. He/she must be self-directed, detail-oriented, and possess the ability to work in a team environment and to interact with co-workers, advisory groups, elected officials, and members of the public in a courteous, professional manner. Additionally, must have computer proficiency including general keyboarding and skill in maintaining accurate documentation of services.
